Well, week 2 has come & gone.  Hard to believe we are already halfway through January!!  Our triathlon will be here before you know it.

This week was a little tough. I had my first week of two personal training sessions, which wasn’t so bad.  I was sore but a “good” sore.  I think I actually like feeling all those muscles that I haven’t used in a long time!

During my 2nd session of the week, Junius had me run on the treadmill, which I think was the most killer for me! I did ok with my light jogs outside, but when I’m set to keep up a certain pace — that’s another story! My little legs were on fire by the time I was done.

The rough part is facing reality:  I’m still a mom, which means laundry, cleaning, meals… and it’s flu season!  YUCK!  Needless to say,  two of my kids came down with the flu so my home exercise routine took the back burner.  Thankfully, my husband has been extra helpful with keeping up with these extra tasks.  Time to disinfect everything and keep my fingers crossed that the rest of us stay healthy!

Six Aurora BayCare Medical Center employees have embarked on a wellness challenge that will change their lives forever! Over the next six months, these people will be coached, trained and transformed into triathlon-level athletes through the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Live Fit program.
