I had two sessions one-on-one training time this past week, with only more to come in the upcoming weeks.
Wow, it was awesome!
After I was done, I thought to myself, I really just did all of that and didn’t give up once. I was introduced to using hand weights and just loved it. I moved on to using the Lat and row machines as well, loved that too!
I really can’t believe that I actually said to my husband “I really like lifting weights”. On the days I’m not scheduled with a trainer, I’ve been heading over to the center and getting on the treadmill or bike. I now know how to do weight lifting on my own.
I met my fellow buddy from last year’s 6-pack, Linda Halla. I’m very happy the training team thought of pairing us up with someone from the previous pack to share their insight, experience and a workout.
I have been wearing an Body Media armband unit. This is a great tool and resource that we have been given for two months to help track our food intake, how many calories should be consume and how many calories to shed while working out. It even tells us how many hours we slept at night!
I feel I’m off to a great start and I will keep up the pace.
I like lifting weights. Who would have ever known?
