Are you ready for the challenge of completing your first-ever triathlon? These six individuals, collectively known as the 6-Pack, have accepted this challenge and will begin five months of intense training to cross the finish line at the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Green Bay Triathlon on Sunday, June 2nd.
In its second year, our LiveFit Triathlon Challenge takes six caregivers who have an interest in triathlons but have never trained for, or participated in one. Our inaugural group in 2012 all saw tremendous changes in how they exercised, eat and lived their daily lives.
Even though, on the surface, their goal was to finish their first triathlon, they all made lifestyle changes and are still seeing the rewards today from all of their hard work.
Our new group is tasked with the same goal: train and complete your first triathlon. Throughout the next six months they will go through various fitness assessments, personal training, triathlon training and coaching to properly and safely prepare them for race day on June 2nd. Along the way, they will be working with a team of specialists including personal trainers, physical therapists, licensed athletic trainers and registered dietitians Each member will also receive a running analysis, bike fitting and swim instruction.
Our 2013 6-Pack members are Dr. Sara Aicher, urgent care physician; Ed Janz, loss prevention; Julie Rasmussen, radiologist for BayCare Orthopedics; Tim Richards, surgical technician; Jaci Rocheleau, patient service representative; and Tracey Schmidt, OB/GYN and pediatrics nurse.
