LiveFit Challenge Week 15: Linda’s Update

Six Aurora BayCare Medical Center employees have embarked on a wellness challenge that will change their lives forever! Over the next six months, these people will be coached, trained and transformed into triathlon-level athletes through the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Live Fit program.

Linda Halla is a patient access representative at the Women’s Center of Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

This week was a really tough week for me!

I had a severe migraine all week and plus I had to work extra hours for someone who is on medical leave.

This is the first time I missed both tri-training days. It is really frustrating this close to race day to be saddled with these horrible headaches. I now have the fear that I won’t be in control of the headache the day of race day and then what will I do. All this hard work and training for 6 months to be shattered with a migraine.

It is really amazing how much doubt you have for yourself as we get closer to the race. I don’t know if my headache is giving me self doubt or if this is a normal feeling everyone is feeling. This is when I really need support and I am unsure where to get it from.

Well I sure hope next week will be better. It certainly couldn’t get any worse that this week!
