LiveFit Challenge Week 14: Leslie’s Update

Leslie Iles works in Radiology Services at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Six Aurora BayCare Medical Center employees have embarked on a wellness challenge that will change their lives forever! Over the next six months, these people will be coached, trained and transformed into triathlon-level athletes through the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Live Fit program.

Sorry my blog is so late… I was off for Easter Break with Addisyn.

The last two weeks have been interesting as far as training goes. I was off with my daughter for her Spring and Easter Break, so not much got done as far as training. I can’t bring her with me to work out as there is no place for her to hang out and being that she is only five, she won’t sit long enough for me to get a work out in. We walked to the park and I did my arm workout with her on the other end of the seesaw. Amazing what a seesaw can do for your arms.

I made sure that I was able to attend the Triathlon Class. One of the days, the group took a bike ride. To be honest I have not been on a bike since I was a kid. I was a nervous wreck, could I even ride the bike, am I going to fall off. The ride was great, not only could I ride the bike but I didn’t fall and I wasn’t out of breathe and my butt didn’t hurt. I believe that is one amazing feat. I guess being addicted to Spin Class really helped.

I decided to sign up for the Bellin, why not add another run six days after the triathlon.

Two months until the triathlon and the training continues…..
