LiveFit Challenge Week 8: Linda’s Update

Linda Halla is a patient access representative at the Women's Center of Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

Six Aurora BayCare Medical Center employees have embarked on a wellness challenge that will change their lives forever! Over the next six months, these people will be coached, trained and transformed into triathlon-level athletes through the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Live Fit program.

This week we started our Tri classes on Tuesday. The original plan was to swim so I had all my swim gear ready. Earlier in the day one of our dogs became very ill so we had to take it to the vet and we ended up there a lot longer than anticipated. Needless to say I came late for training and then found out we were going to work out (Not swim). Well I was not prepared I had on clogs and no upper body support. So I then was very self-conscious so I wore my jacket during the work out.

Wow not a good idea. Looking at the pictures actually was kind of funny. The new people we met must have thought –what kind of person works out in clogs and a jacket? Later that week we had our second training on Thursday and we did a lot of running which we all needed. Time to pick it up on the running as next Saturday we are running in the Dublin run in Appleton. Really should be a good experience to be able to run outside.
